can't download itunes update and certain links don't work

I am having two issues 1. when trying to udate itunes after i click on get
free download a new page comes up and say download will automatically start
but it never does and 2. on all web pages some links work and some don't. I
don't know if these two issues are realted but it is getting pretty darn
frustrating. I have tried many suggestions from these post but no luck.
My IE version is 6.0.2900.2100.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

I had the same problem with the itunes update. The web page was not fully
loading and I could do nothing on the web page that I was directed to for
downloading the update. I've been having problems with images for the past
few weeks. There is a posting dated 10/17 regarding "images not showing" up
and the response to the problem solved the issue for me. The answer was to
disable your privacy service. It worked and I was able to download the itunes
update and see images on websites I couldn't before. Try the suggestion, I
hope this works for you.
