Can't do System Restore

I have a new computer and am trying to get up to speed with all my "stuff".
I installed Norton Systemworks 2003 on my computer (disks came with
purchase), but then I couldn't access the Internet or my email, IM, etc.
So, I tried to do a System Restore, but it will not let me. Keeps saying
something about "no files have been changed." I uninstalled Norton to try
it again, same thing. I REALLY liked the System Restore function. Anyone
out there who can help me figure out what's going on??

yeah, that NSW 2003 can be a real pain in the ass as I
discovered when installing it for WIN98. As it turned
out, I then had to completely uninstall and reinstall to
get it working properly. Try doing a basic uninstall in
the Safe Mode and see what happens. If it fails, I'd
suggest going to Symantec.com and following the procedure
indicated. Hopefully, you won't have to do what I wound
up doing.
