Hi all,

I cant do a print screen in Vista b2. What happens is that when I press *prt
scrn* button and paste the image to mspaint, all the image is distorted (if
i'm not writing wrong english here!!! ). Whats happening? I'v seen so many
ppl posting vista's screen shots all over the Internet and I cant doit :(.
Plz help.
My machine specs are : AMD 64 (but installed the 32bit iso of vista b2), 1gb
ram, lot of space on hdd!!!, motherboard has built in geforce 6100. Nvidia's
drivers maybe causing some problem?? How do I know?

One hint: as I was exploring vista, I came across a window (i dont remember
what it was) that told me that nvidia's drivers are causing system to boot
slowly.

Regards,

Yeah, just about every computer right now has a message about drivers
causing the system to boot slowly. I got that for my Ati X1600 PRO. Can't
repro your problem here, but I'd bet it's your video card. (Drivers) When
I do a print screen, the whole system stops for a second or two, and the CPU
usage maxes out for a few moments. I'd try using the snipping tool as an
alternative.

AMD Sempron 64 2800+ @ 1.6GHz 1600MHz FSB (754) (Performance rating of 3.1)
1.5GB of PC-2700 RAM (Rating of 3.0)
Ati Radeon X1600 PRO AGP 8x (Rating of 5.9)
256MB GDDR2 video RAM (Rating of 4.3)
WD 120GB 7200RPM IDE 8MB cache hard drive (60GB partition - 3.7 rating)

It's a known issue with certain video cards like GeForce 6200 while
Glass is on. You have the choice of turning off glass or waiting for a
later build if you are entitled to one (it appears to be fixed in 5456.5).

The snipping tool has the same problem. There are earlier threads here
about this issue.
