Cant disable e-mail preview in IE6

Since upgrading Outlook Express, I cant delete incoming e-mail without it
opening in the preview pane. It used to be that I had to double click it to
open e-mail,now it opens as soon as it's highlighted. I don't like this
because a virus may be imbedded in spam and I have to open it to delete it.
By then, it's too late. I looked in the obvious places, but I cant "disable
preview" anywhere. Anyone know about this? T.I.A.
 
You will find settings for the Preview pane under the View\Layout menu
option in Outlook Express.
