cant delete

maybe someone can help me?
I downloaded a video that played fine with windows media player, but when I
went to dump it, it said this .avi was being used by another person or
program "cant delete". I shut all other programs down , like kazza, but it
still hangs around.
I would like this 750 megs back from my hard drive....

To correct this misbehavior in Windows XP, remove the
following registry key.

Goto Start>>Run>>Type "regedit" goto

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850D
C73E}\InProcServer32] - Delete this key

This will prevent Explorer from loading shmedia.dll in
response to file property queries on these files.
