In the past I had some registry entry's I could not delete.
I got a message like 'unable to delete' (don't remember
the exact message)
Is there a way to delete these certain entry's anyway?

Please give the full path of the key, and I'll show you how to create a
registry file to get rid of them.

The error message you got is very strange, though.

Perhaps its a permissions problem.

Right click on the key and select permissions to change.

I've had a problem in the past not being able to delete pci devices until I
change the permission.

Be sure you know what you're deleting and backup or take a system checkpoint
first. Registry changes are always at your own risk.

Unfortunately, I don't remember what I was trying to
remove. (Maybe a program) but I remember, I couldn't
delete nor could I change any values in it.
I usually search for keywords in the reg, if I have to
manually remove a program or so.
I will post again if I come to the same problem.

If it was "permission denied"...wouldn't it be on all
registry entry's then?
I always back up, if I'm not 100% sure what I delete.
Thanks guys!

No, you can actually control this key-by-key in Win XP. Try it: Right-click
on a key and see what comes up in the menu.
