Still no luck in deleting email messages out of my inbox using MS Outlook
Express version 6.00.2800.1123 with a Windows ME operating system. Have
emptied out the delete folder, restarted, disconnected the cable many times.
Email setup using POP3. Had some luck deleting messages when transferring
them to a newly made folder then deleting the entire file. thanks for any
help.

Hmm, that sounds so familiar. I do know there are some
glitches can happen to OE folders, and there are some
size limits too. Can't find anything on my hd though.
If you have to time, you might try over on
news.spamcop.net and go to the .geeks ng or the .mail.
If you go to .mail, be sure to mention you were sent
there - it's not a public group and outsiders are
sometimes flamed for not being members if they're too
forward.
First a stop at the MS KB might be in order though.
I'm staring to feel like there's an article on it
there. It's a known bug so it's pretty likely.

Can't delete solution - all set!
The deleted items.dbx file was corrupted. To fix this problem, just need to
delete that file and when you restart OE it will be recreated.

You said "Outlook" not "Outlook Express".
Did you know that they were two different programs?
Anyway, glad to see you've got it sorted out.
