can't delete ; makes copies

Every time I try to delete a file from a list, I get a
copy of the file created in the list.i.e. The file is in
the recycle bin, but the copy is in the list

What is the file extension ? or does it happen to all
extensions? For example abc.txt or dlkrts.sys ?
