can't delete from inbox

Hello all, lately I have often been unable to delete files from outlook
express inbox without first rebooting (Win98). Could this be a virus? Norton
antivirus is active but has not found this. Any comments gratefully
received.

Not everything is a virus, Ivan. Your Inbox is probably corrupted. Go
to the MS news groups (or check your own list for it) and find the IE/OE
one. The MVP's will tell you how to correct it.

The one you want is.........
"microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress"

Hello Ivan,
This behaviour just started in my inbox too. One of the fake Microsoft
mails - I believe always with an attachment (unopened) - as I try to
delete it, Outlook freezes and I have to close and reopen it - at this
point anything deleted in the same session reappears - As I delete
through the list again they go quietly to deleteland.
