Can't Delete Email Rules

I have a whole slew of rules for Email. I've figured out that 99% of the
junk is addressed to a specific account which forwards to my main
account. I'd like to delete the old batch of rules.

I've been through the routine, deleting each one. Confirming each
deletion. But when I close the Rules window and reopen it, they're back.
Every time. I've tried checking them, unchecking them...

What's the trick to making these rules go away PERMANENTLY?

Thanks!

Hi, Judy

I never tried to delete rules, so I don't have first-hand experience of the
problem. But if you can't delete them, why not modify the rule so that it
"applies" to a message you'll never get - - i.e. ONLY to a message whose
subject line contains the word "uvwsxnmstrtstvf?"

Hope this will help.

Well, it looks like I've got more of a problem than I thought I had. I
cannot initiate a new rule, either.

The reason not to modify the old ones is I made a lengthy list of body
parts and functions, drug names, etc., trying to catch as much junk as
possible. Now I realize almost all of the junk is coming to one specific
address which is forwarded. I'd like to route all that email to one
place. I can't get rid of the old rules (although I can deactivate them)
and I can't add the new one. ACK!

I'm working on a new computer with the files/favorites/etc. imported
from my old hard drive. Something must've gotten corrupted en route.

Anybody know where these files are stored so I can delete the file and
start over????

THANK YOU!
