from the right click menu. I get the prompt asking if I'm sure I want to
delete it and I say yes but the contact folder is still there. These were
contact folders created in Outlook 2000 and imported into Outlook 2003 with
the majority of them empty. Some get deleted but others won't. Does anyone
have a workaround?
Thanks,

Well,am I stupid or could it be the Program Manager for Outlook who decided
that delete doesn't really mean delete. Because even if you delete and get
prompted that it will be deleted permanently, it doesn't delete it. Gee I'm
so stupid to not realize that a permanent delete isn't!
Here's the kicker folks, the delete key doesn't delete them, you have to
right click and "Remove from My Contacts" and on top of that, sometimes that
doesn't seem to work either, that is, until you close and restart Outlook.
Hope this helps someone else.

No, your not stupid. I have found the same problem. The 'Delete
function does not work on some of the personally created contact
folders. I don't know what causes these folders to become 'corrupt'.

I found that the 'Remove from My Contact' just removes it from th
menu, but doesn't actually delete it.

If you do a 'New Folder', you'll see the contacts folders that yo
though you deleted still present (in the tree), and you won't be abl
create another with the same name. This may be a bug, but I've no
found anaything about this problem elsewhere.
