Well I got sent that stupid sobig.f virus and while trying to delete it, i
found that symanetc's tool for removing it got to a certain file then gave
me an error message. I am using Windows 2000 Pro.

I looked and found that in Temporary Internet Files there was a certain file
that I could not delete. It simply refused to be deleted. It was in each of
the 4 system folders in my Temporary Internet Files in a slightly different
form but generally the same. How do I get rid of that file so I can use the
sobig.f removal tool aside form reformatting that hardrive (which is my OS
hardrive grr...)

EXAMPLE: editorials;dir=editorialsnode;dir=opinion;dir=edit
orials;page=article;a=1;d=1;c=2;e=fgfga;s=28;s=245
;vs=2;;kw=;=pos=ad21;sz=160x600;tile=21;ord=316375 707880899840

Can you rename the folder by chance, and then delete it?
Or move the folder to somewhere else on a different part
of your HD. Then rename and delete. Do you have any other
programs open when you try to delete just in case the file
is locked. Is this a IE temp folder. Can you remove using
IE? What are the file permissions on it.. Check those to
see if the file is read-only?
