Hi,a few weeks ago I Encrypted 1 of my folder in Windows
2000 Pro, but due to some reasons I had to delete that
Windows and I installed the "Windows XP Pro" and using it.
But now I can't Decrypt that folder which I Encrypted in
Win2000 Pro....:( can you plz help me solving this
problem...Thanks!

The EFS private keys used to encrypt those files for the user or local
administrator [recovery agent] are needed to decrypt those files. Those keys
would either need to have been exported or available via the user profile that
was backed up after the time those files were encrypted. If you formatted your
drive to install XP Pro then you have no chance of recovering those files. If
you have a intact copy of your user profile from W2K in a backup or still on the
hard drive somewhere you "may" be able to recover the files with a third party
program [$99] or a paid support call to Microsoft if you remember the password
used for the user account. Please read more about EFS below. --- Steve
