wrong it creates the profile when they logon, did i miss
something ,do something wrong...i read how to create
roaming profile,i did as it said and when i open the share
and user folder and nothing is in it,can someone help me!!

thanks

make sure that the user has sufficient access rights to allow it to create a
folder in "sharename". do no create the "username" directory as windows 2000
does this automatically. should have no problems.

kind regards

ok..well something isnt working right i got them with full
control to the sharename folder,i loggon and off then look
in the shared folder and nothing is there,so its not
creating them for some reason,i might add this is
2003...any ideas.?

When creating the roaming profile path, use
\\servername\sharename\%username% instead of the actual username. The first
profile that gets created is the local profile because there is not a
profile to download yet. When the user logs off it should upload the local
profile to the network share and be available for roaming after that.

Are you logging into the domain? And was the folder in place, with
appropriate permissions, when the user logged in?
