(I'm sorry if this already posted, I wasn't sure)
I use Windows 2000 and Powerpoint 2002. Everytime I try to
run a slidshow and advance the slide, I get this error
message: "PowerPoint can't create hyperlink to" There's
nothing wrong with or exotic about my slideshows. I have
no idea what the source of this error is or the remedy. At
this point, PowerPoint has become worthless to me. More
frustratingly, uninstalling and then reinstalling
powerpoint does not fix or change anything. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Michael,

I already tried this one, but the new .dll file didn't
help. I still got the same error message. Thanks.

Just a stab in the dark, but try this:

1. Open your presentation
2. Click the "File" menu and select "Properties".
3. If you have anything in the "Hyperlink Base" text box at the bottom,
delete it.
4. Try it again to see if it works.
