Can't copy/paste/print/open external links in IE 6

This problem just started to creep up on me yesterday.

Running IE 6 with Win2k. I dialup to my ISP and can browse without problems
for several minutes. Suddenly, though, I'll lose the ability to perform any
of the tasks mentioned in the subject line. It doesn't matter how I try to
perform the task, either. For instance, if I highlight text in one browser
window and want to paste it in the other, I can right-click, CTRL-C, or
Edit-->Copy as much as I want without anything happening. Same thing
happens if I try to print through IE.

Any known cause? Rebooting seems to offer a temporary fix, but rebooting
every 5 minutes isn't the best scenario.

I just noticed that worm myself and, while noone else seems to describe the
EXACT symptoms I've seen on my PC, the timing seems to be more than
coincidental.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like I've got some homework tonight.
