Can't copy files to cd writer

Help! I cannot burn any data files to the cd writer nor
the dvd writer, all I get is "insert disc into drive
(X)", and sometimes when trying to open it, I get "drive
(x) is inaccessible" I have done a system restore, tried
uninstalling and installing both drives. any help would
be appreciated. The Serg

Usually when i have that level of trouble i run virus scan from CD then
reinstall XP. it usually works even though it takes an evening.
