Can't copy and paste in IE

copy and paste works in MS Word, but when i try to copy text from IE the
paste (to a word or text file) does not work. i have two computers and it
works in the second one so it is not an internet protected page.
i can't duplicate the problem in the second machine.

Any help will be appreciated.
