can't connect

for some reason I am no longer able to connect to some of
my sites like classmates.com, I get an error saying page
can not be displayed... etc. it worked fine before i
updated my internet explorer, I have tried all the fixes
that were posted, but still can't go, what am I doing
wrong?
 
Some sites on the East Coast of the USA have been unavailable since
Hurricane Isabel. Could this be the cause?

You can test this by pinging their site..


Select the Start=>Run menu option and enter Command to display the DOS
prompt. Then type

ping www.classmates.com

It will tell you if it can find the site and how long it took to do so.
