Can't Connect To XP Pro on Network

Tom

I am currently running 4 computers on a network that is
controlled by a central Domain Controller. All four are
members of the domain, have static IP addresses in a
block (***.***.***.250 - ***.***.***.253), and have DNS
records associated with them. The three Windows 2000
Server boxes can open file shares on each other and can
ping each other. The Windows XP Pro box can also open
file shares on the 2000 boxes and can ping them. When I
try to open a file share on the XP box, or even ping to
it, from any of the 2000 boxes (or other Windows XP boxes
on the network) I get a "host not found" or "request
timed out" message. NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.
There are no TCP/IP filters turned on, nor is the
Internet Connection Firewall enabled, on the XP box and
all four are plugged into the same hub. When I have
tried sniffing network traffic and run both ping and Nmap
from a 2000 box to the XP machine all of the requests are
picked up by the sniffer, however there are no replies of
any nature from the XP machine. Any ideas as to
why this box is a ghost to all around it? Or how I might
be able to make everyone else see it? Thanks...Tom
