For some reason IE6 in Win XP Home won't connect to the
web. All I get is "Page Cannot Be Displayed" messasge.
OE, Newsgroups and p2p work fine although I cannot be
connected to via FTP. It isn't a connection problem as
I've downloaded a browser app to tide me over till this is
sorted and that works fine. I ran "sfc /scannow" which
didn't show any problems.
I'd much rather not have to reinstall Windows if at all
possible. The PC came with XP installed and
only "recovery" disks so if it's possible to just
uninstall/reinstall IE I'd be very relieved.
Many thanks for any help and advice
