Dear All

I have installed both XP and Vista in a PC. In my home network, I can log in
my NAS without any problem with XP. However, when I turn to use Vista, it
always prompt me to key in username and password, and stated that they are
wrong. Anybody can help ?

Thanks a lot.

Yep, welcome to the club. I have two NAS boxes that have been rendered obsolete
by Vista, and I'm not a happy camper. I'm typing this on an XP box, since I
can't really move over to the Vista machine without a solution to access my two
NAS backup boxes. Since neither have a firmware upgrade available, I'm pretty
much stuck unless I replace both of them.

I'm pretty bummed out that Vista didn't have some sort of "fallback" to allow
operation in such environments. This seems a bit short-sighted on Microsoft's
part. I think the Vista-centric view went a bit too far, you need to have a
transition path.
