I have a SBS 2003 server, no ISA
When I try to connect Outlook 2003 to my server as an Exchange connection,
it cannot find the server.
But, I have a POP account working fine. I need to connect using the Exchange
for the enhanced options.
Help?

Is it just one machine! Dont know what you mean by enhanced options - have
you tried starting from a new profile by using the Mail Applet in Control
Panel. What errors are you getting! Sorry for all the questions.

What I mean are functions like assigning a delegate control of email. Yes, I
even uninstalled and resinstalled outlook.
I go into create a new profile, and I choose Exchange as the option and
next. I then put in the server information, with the name of the account. It
comes back and tells me it can't find the exchange server. But, If I choose
POP3 instead of exchange, I can configure it.

Thanks,

Can you telnet into the exchange server on port 25, i.e. go to a DOS Prompt
and type telnet your_exchange_server_name 25 press Enter - do you get a
banner back similar to 220 exchange_server.com Microsoft ESMTP Mail Service
blah blah blah................

Are you using Windows XP SP2 and are you using Windows Firewall, if so does
it help if you either turn it off (temp) or create an exception for the
outlook executable. When you set up the POP3 account to your Exchange Server
does the email test function work okay. Is this isolated to one computer or
have you tried the same user credentials on another workstation. What about
OWA - does this work for this user.
