I can't connect to to the Internet via a usb cable, on broadband, using
Swedish Windows XP Professional. My modem is a Sagem F@st 800 E3. The error
message I get up is:

"Ansluter gemon WAN Miniport (PPP0E)
Fel 769: Det angivna malet kan inte nas"

The funny thing is that exactly the same modem works for the English Windows
XP Home that I have on another computer.

I'm using the same modem, user name and password but it doesn't work on the
laptop with a Swedish Windows XP Professional. Why?

Thank you for any help

HI!
I had this problem. My modem is damaged. Check your modem can be damaged.
Show that the modem is working and indeed is damage. Make a check with
another modem.

I don't know where to find a Swedish translator, but is that
769 : specific destination not reachable ?

Are the settings for the modem the same ? Using PPPOA or PPPOE ?
I presume you checked to see that the modem was synchronizing OK.
I would check that the configuration information is the same in
both OSes.

Is the same telephone line being used for both attempts ?
