Can't connect to internet.

Which newsgroup should I use to post the following? Can anyone help here?

I have two WinXP/2 PCs on a home wireless network. The desktop is wire
connected to the router, the laptop is connected wirelessly. Both PCs use
the same network. Both PCs have the same IP address (except for the last
number). The Subnet masks, Default Gateways and Preferred DNS Servers are
the same.

I can access the Internet and Outlook Express from the desktop but not from
the laptop. I have been able to have full access from the laptop but I must
have changed something while trying to establish File Sharing between the
two PCs.

I can ping the router from the desktop but not from the laptop. The Wireless
Network Connection icon on the laptop taskbar shows that it is connected to
the same network as the desktop and the signal strength is Excellent.

have you went into Wireless network Connection Properties, on the General tap
select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties and make sure that
Obtain an IP address automatically is selected
