Can't connect to Internet

I'm using vista home basic 64bit and I can't connect to internet because I
just can't find the slots to put my subnet mask and gateway. In XP these
slots use to be right underneath the slot where you put the IP-adress but in
Vista they just ain't there and I wonder if anyone could help me with this?
 
Posting back with result of ipconfig /all may help.

I just got my first Vista box (Home basic I think) and I put in a wireless card and I was up and running with my existing unsecure (MAC address filtering sometimes) home network.

After a reboot (not the first one) it has suddenly stopped connecting to the internet. I can see my router on its map, and there is a line with a red X between the internet and the outside world.

I configured the network to be "private" but I'm still not connected. I can highlight the name of the network ("unindentified") but it won't let me type a new name.

Under XP I've had a lot of problems getting WLAN IP addresses assigned (using several different routers) so I manually assigned an address in range, but that didn't help.

Is there a troubleshooting list that will actually allow me to fix this?

Given the nature of the computer and the network, security is not a concern.

(I learned about "elevating" my DOS prompt -- is there any way to turn off the "Are you sure?" confirmation on every damned administrative action?)

1. what wireless card and what driver?
2. what router and does it have the most recent firmware
3. no, you can't turn off the prompt for this unless you turn off
UAC completely (not recommended)

4. is there more than one wireless network with the same name ? if
you didn't change the default on the router, this is likely

5. please post the text output of ipconfig /all from an elevated
command prompt
