Cant connect to Default Domain Policy

I try to run gpo and connect to default domain gpo; get a
message saying duplicate name problem. I can ping the
machine as either server or server1 (what the name should
be); nothin in dns, no host file...dont know where it is
getting this name resolution from....

Hi Rob
Run the following commands on the server
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -RR
then
nbtstat -c
This will display the names in cache. Look for any that are incorrect. If
they have a time to live of -1 then they are coming from an LMhost file on
your machine. Are you running WINS? Check for incorrect records in WINS
for your server or for the name of your domain.
