Can't close windows in Internet Explorer

I have seen this message in a number od other posts. I
have tried to fix my problem as mentioned by numerous
people of scanning my system with Ad-aware and Spybot to
no avail. The only way I can close multiple open windows
is with the Task Manager. Are there any other solutions
available>
