Can't choose Word as email editor

I upgraded to Outlook 2002 and it will not let me chose
Word 2000 as my email editor. The previous version of
Outlook was working fine with Word. When I go to Tools,
Options, Mail Format...the choices to "Use Microsoft
Word..." are greyed out and can't be selected.

I tried reinstalling Word. Didn't work! Operating
System is XP Home Edition.

You will need the same version as Outlook to use Word as the Editor.
