Can't Change Sounds

I wanted to change the sound associated with incoming mail. The "sound"
window does not show the entire screen. I cannot access the Sound: area to
locate the file I want to use. The window screen cannot be enlarged. The
right end of each sentence is unavailable. I tried changing the monitor
settings to something smaller but that didn't work.

Any ideas???

Thanks......MaryAnn

Exactly how did you try to change the monitor settings, on the monitor
itself or from the computer's display settings?

What size is your monitor (laptop/desktop/crt/lcd)?

What display resolution are you running? Here's how to check and change it:

1. Start Orb>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization. Click
Personalization and then click Display Settings.
2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want and then
click Apply.

It sounds to me like you are running at too low a resolution for your
monitor. Some common resolutions:

17" - 1024 x 768
19" - 1280 x 1024
laptop/19" widescreen - 1280 x 800
20" - 1600 x 1200
20" widescreen - 1680 x 1050

I have a 17" monitor and the resolution is set at 1024x768. I tried
changing these settings but nothing changes how the words are not fitting
into the screen. This also happens on the Screen Saver screen (can't get
screen saver to work either).

Did you change the size of the text? Try going to Control Panel>Ease of
Access Center and turning off all the accessibility options.
