cant change profile

when logged on to msn it does not tell me if i have new
emails and i can not change my profile when right
clicking on my status and going down to personal settings
the profile icon is just not their anymore please help if
you know whats going on

Are you sure you're using MSN Messenger? Click the Help menu, and then choose About.
