Can't change column names when importing a text file

When I import a text file in Access 2003 using Windows XP, I can't change the
field names in step 4 of the Import Text Wizard. I can change the first
column but when I try to click on the second column or third column, the
"Field Options" at the top won't change. The only workaround I've noticed is
to click on "Advanced" and change the field names there. I didn't have this
problem in Access 2003 using Windows 2000. Any ideas?

This is a known issue for ACCESS 2002 SP3. This issue is described in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;875252

There is a Hotfix available from Microsoft Technical Support for this
problem. Description of the Access 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;841365

There also is a HotFix for ACCESS 2003 SP1 for similar issue.
Description of the Access 2003 hotfix package:

I tried to E-Mail Microsoft on this issue and got this reponse. What
should I do next, seems the outsource center has no clue about
Microsoft products.

The response:

Hello Richard,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Online Customer Service.

I understand from your e-mail that you wish to have the hotfix for KB
841365. I realize the importance of your issue.

Richard, as a Customer Service Representative, I can assist you with
the support options available with your Microsoft product. However, I
have searched Microsoft resources and found that the supported hotfix
for SP3 is no longer available. Microsoft has released the Service Pack
4 for Access 2002 and it came with the built-in fix for this issue.

By the way, I am unaware of the release of SP4 for Office XP or ACCESS 2002.
I will need to contact MS about this claim.

To get 2003 SP1 hotfix, it'll be best if you call the Product Service
Support phone number.... it won't cost money (other than any long-distance
calls) for this hotfix.

I have checked with Microsoft... there is no SP4 for Office XP nor ACCESS
2002. You were given erroneous information.
