I have a background picture in a table cell, but for some reason Front Page
won't let me replace it. The background picture option is grayed out. Why?

If you want to see it, it's the gradient blue background in each page at
www. restabs. com .

The cell in question is
<td style="border-left-color: #00FFFF; border-left-width: 1px;
border-right-color: #00FFFF; border-right-width: 1px;
border-bottom-style: none; border-bottom-width: medium">
<img border="0" src="ComingSoon.jpg" width="640" height="430"></td>

This cell does not have a background image. The cell content is an image
file "ComingSoon.jpg", so the only way to change it is to change the image,
i.e. replace this file with another image

actually it was the other tabbed pages i was referring to. i finally had to
go into the code and change the filename of the background image for the big
cell manually, because the option to change it in Properties is grayed out.

likewise, fp grays out the menu option for Insert Interactive Button when i
try to put a new button in a table cell. only way i could do it was copy and
paste a button from another entirely different document then change the
button properties. i'm confused why fp turns off so many options when i try
to revise a document, making me "work around" the program myself. i'm using
fp 2003.

thanks

Is the table cell you are trying to insert the interactive button into
in a shared border? If so, FP is protecting you from making a mistake.
Interactive buttons do not work in shared borders.
