cant change a form design

I think I may have messed up my databese by looking at
the security options.
On the User Group Permissions window, Object type
Database - the items ticked are open/run Open Exclusive
and Administer. The rest of the options are greyed out.
Is this why I am unsuccessful in changing the design?? If
so what can I do to get out of it??
I have tried using the open from the file menu but it
does not give the arrow I thought was there for open
exclusive.

In that window, the rest of the items are disabled because they don't apply
to the 'database' object. The options that are checked apply to the user
(or group) that you have selected in the top portion of the dialog.
Is this why I am unsuccessful in changing the design?? If
so what can I do to get out of it??

You would not have messed up the database by simply 'looking at the security
options'. Did you attempt to change any options? Did you run the security
wizard, or create new groups/users?

What error messages/what is happening when you attempt to change the design
of (and what object)?
 
no error message at all. i change the design then save it
but it reverts back to the original

What version of Access? Have you applied all service releases and patches?

Can you be more specific. What design change did you make? Are there any
other users using the mdb at the same time?
