cant burning cd and system restore not working

Hi,
I would sure appreciate some help. I have in the past
burned cd's of music with media player and of pictures by
copying directly to the d: drive.
now an error message appears that says d:\ drive is not
accessible incorrect function.
I havent been able to save my pictures to cd neither of
have I been able to make new music cd's.
can someone please help.
also I dont know if can get help with my system restore.
there used to be a calender there. Now my computer
doesnt seem to be making any restore points neither Have
I been able to make any.

For music in wmp,you need to send a track(s),or playlist
to the copy to cd section in the player.For pictures,
if in my pictures folder,L.click on it,in the L.sub-menu
choose copy to cd,or create a new folder and add them.
R.click my computer,properties,system restore tab,is
it checked for on.If D: drive is questionable,uninstall
in device mgr,reboot,add hardware,re-install D:
