I was always able to burn music cd's before and for some reason it won't work
any more. I did go to the properties of the cd/dvd driver's icon so I could
click on the "enable recording" tab. But unless I'm going blind or are unable
to read any longer, I don't have a "enable recording" tab. Please help!!!

There is no tab as you state. The tab is "Recording".
Doubleclick My Computer icon on desktop, rightclick your CD drive and
click Properties. Click the "Recording" tab and check "Enable CD recording
on this drive", click Apply and OK out. If you do not have a recording tab,
you can check the CD Properties>hardware tab>Troubleshoot.

Hey Gabby all you need to do is follow this post
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;316529
I have to do it as well, you basically find no recording tab in cd
properties, but by editing this registry key, it magically appears :P so yea
try that out..

Ps. I am only posting because I noticed all the other posts were kinda
useless.
so if ur still having this problem, this should fix it..good luck :D
