Can't burn CDs

Awhile ago I had a problem with my computer in that it wouldn't allow me to
burn cd's. I messed around with it for awhile and came across a setting
that was incorrect. I fixed it and whalah (sp) it worked. Well now we are
back to it not letting me burn cd's and I can't find the setting I fixed
before. I have clicked on the D drive and gone to properties and adjusted
and played with all of that to no avail. Any ideas?

P.S. There is no burning software on the PC.
