After Windows XP latest security update, I can no longer
burn a CD. I've since upgraded to WMP 9 with same
results. I've tried two different CD burners, same
results with both.
When trying to burn witn WMP, it tells me that no device
is attached, press F5 to refresh. With Roxie Easy
Creator, I get "Failure to init engine". Roxie's web
help says I have a virus (I forgot which), but I scanned
and that's not it. Don't think it's Roxie's fault.
The internal IDE CD burner reads files just fine. The
device appears in Explorer; I can play MP3s, read files,
etc from the CD burner. Properties says the device is
working fine. IDs it as a CD burner. I've tried
disconnecting it, uninstalling it, reinstalling it - same
result.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks
