can't browse certain page

I can't open this page, either. I am having trouble with
some pages (even common ones such as coscto.com,
target.com) ever since I (a) updated to IE6 SP1 and (b)
got a cable internet connection - both happened at the
same time. I can get to all these pages (including
techbargains.com) via my old dial-up connection. The
Cable company swears it has nothing to do with them. Do
you have cable internet or have you recently applied SP1?

I can't browse certain pages such as www.techbargains.com.

Sometimes it seems to be the case that a DNS treats aliases
differently from the real domain name (e.g. perhaps it doesn't keep them and has to take extra hops to find them; then if its
adjacent nodes treated
aliases the same way your lookups might timeout). In this case you might
have better luck without the www. prefix.

FWIW here is what my nslookup shows:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: techbargains.com
Address: 216.131.96.76
Aliases: www.techbargains.com

If you have nslookup it could be interesting finding out how your
DNS does find each of those names. For example, use the
set type=ANY
command and compare your results.

FWIW here is what my nslookup shows for the alias:

Non-authoritative answer:
www.techbargains.com canonical name = techbargains.com

techbargains.com nameserver = ns1.california.net
techbargains.com nameserver = ns1.oakweb.com

Good luck
