Rick

This problem has me stumped. My computer froze while
online. Nothing would work and I couldn't even use
Windows task manager to "end task." So I had to hold
down the power button to turn everything off. Then I
turned it back on and it was still frozen on the welcome
screen. So again I turned it off and now it will not
reboot. It won't even reboot from the Windows XP disc.
It will turn on make a few sounds and stop. Nothing on
the monitor or anything. (yes, the monitor is on and it
works)
It won't even display the Windows XP logo page.

Windows XP Home Edition, Compaq 7000US, 1.20 AMD
Processor, 768 RAM Memory.
Thanks in advance for any help, Rick

I have an HP Pavillion 8660c. Updgraded to XP Home from
Win 98. Been working fine for months.

Two days ago, it stopped booting up.

Following Message is Displayed:
"Operating System Not Found"

In Set-up, it shows "NONE" where the Hard Disk option
should be displayed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rick, I hope you didn't have a crash of your harddisk.
Did you make to bootable floppy disk? If you did, use it
and boot on it and check your harddrive.

Perry, the same reply goes to you that I give Rick. If
you made a bootable floppy disk, use it. Put it in
Drive "A" and boot on it to check your harddrive and
system.
