I installed Windows 98 on partition 1 and Windows XP Pro
on partition 2.
One day, i accidently formatted partition 1, then i
install another Windows XP Pro on partition 1. But i
can't boot into Windows XP on partition 2.
I've try make partition 2 active, then run fixboot and
fixmbr from Recovery Console, but it dosen't work.
Although now i can access most of files inside partition
2 through Windows XP (partition 1), i still can't access
files inside Documents and Settings\LauCN on partition 2.
I think i need to boot into Windows XP (partition 2), and
logon with my password in order to reach those files.
Those files are very important to me, and i won't easily
reformat, nor reinstall with partition 2, unless there is
no other ways out.
What should i do, so that i can boot into that Windows XP
on partition 2, without losing my important files?
I highly appreciate all who view this problem and try to
help, thank you.

You should be able to see the needed files on partition 2. If not, use
Folder Options> View to show hidden files and folders. Copy the files
from your old account to the new. If you run into "accessed denied,"
you can take ownership of the files. Once that is done, you will
regain access to them.
