It may help to know what caused the present condition. When did this
problem start, and what happened to the system? Just wondering if you could
"undo" whatever caused the problem initially without having to wipe out the
entire hard drive.

Do you have a CD that has Windows XP on it? Does your system have a floppy
drive? Not sure about just what happens when you use that recovery disk,
but if you type in just anything when it asks for a reason to restore, what
happens then?

What is the brand name of the computer?

Do you have more than one hard drive in that system? Or more than one
partition (for instance, was there a D: or E: hard drive)?

I have recovery disks but after the recovery process is done it asks for a
floppy disks and an ex[lanation for the trcovery ... I am at a loss dont know
what floppy it wants .... now i cant even get the darn thing to stop beeping
, I get an error messge say theres a bios checksum error insert floppy disk.

The name on the pc reads Premier. At the moment i do have 2 hard drive ..put
