can't boot up the new OS

Hi,
I've just installed a new OS, then after I install
several softwares, like Office XP, ICQ, and the
msconfig.exe (that I download from the web), and then I
restart the computer, and it won't boot up again. When I
tried to boot into safe mode, it boots until
--> ...partition 2\winnt\system32\config\system, then it
freezes. Does anyone know what's going on there? Thx.

Why did you have to download msconfig.exe?
