Can't Boot into XP!!

Last night I was defraging my system and it froze in the
middle so I rebooted and it wouldn't boot into XP. It
hangs on the Welcome Screen and won't go any further.
What can I do to fix this?? I tried to reinstall but that
didn't work either. Please Help I want to get into my
computer without losing everything.

If you have your XP disk you should be able to start you
computer up with it in the drive and that will boot you
into windows. You may have to learn about the recovery
console and how to get into it to write a new Master Boot
Record. Keep smiling.
