Hi

Can someone help? I want to boot my pc in safe mode but each time I get to
the safe mode screen I am unable to move my cursor to select safe mode. It
seems to stick. Does anyone know what is causing this? It has been like this
for as long as I can remember.

Perhaps there is another way of getting to safe mode. I am running windows
xp home and tapping the F8 key repeatedly.

Use the up and down arrow keys instead.

Hi

Do you mean instead of repeatedly pressing F8 when it's booting? Because if
you mean the up and down arrow keys on the page that shows the option for
safe mode, that is precisely my problem. I can't move the cursor using thew
up and down arrow keys.

Could it be a faulty keyboard? Can you try another keyboard?

Hi,

From normal mode, click start/run and type msconfig, then click ok. Go to
the boot.ini tab, enable the /safeboot option.
