Hi all,
I just tried to boot into a known good FreeBSD cd on a machine with a
A7N8X2.0 motherboard. This reminded me that not too long ago I tried
to do just this with a known good Linux install CD and it had also
failed.
I had the CD at /dev/hdd (secondary-slave) so, following some advice I
found in the group, I switched it to /dev/hdb (primary-slave), but it
didn't change anything. Soft or hard reset it rolls right through to
the lilo boot screen. I have the boot order set to cd - floppy - hdd0,
and it sees a floppy everytime there's one there to boot off of.
This has been a great board so far, but I know it can boot a cd
because it has in the past, and all I've ever had on it is Linux and
FreeBSD. Is there a way to clear out the BIOS or CMOS or whatever it
is that controls the board's bootime probing so I can re-set
everything to the good old days?
Thanks,
