Can't back up

Vista home premium. Trying to use backup and restore center, using CD-RW. I
get error message saying the backup was not completed successfully, parameter
is incorrect (Ox80070057), whatever all that means. Can anybody translate
that for me and help me get a backup?

I'm having same problem. Got past this by restarting computer but still can't
complete. Computer hangs up while copying files to cd
