can't "always ignore"

I'm purposely running tightvnc on a couple of computers.
Every time I start it, MS antispyware blocks it. I keep
saying to always ignore but that doesn't work. I assumed a
corrupt file so I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
Appreciate any help.

Are you having any other problems of settings sticking? Is the last scan
date right, for example?

I'd recommend uninstalling, blowing away the installation folder and
subfolders, and reinstalling. You will lose all customised settings, and
access to quarantined items and results of old scans, etc.

I have this situation on several machines. I haven't had a problem--every
once in awhile it will redetect--I've assumed because of changes or
improvements in the detection--but always ignore sticks, and it's never been
wiped out by a scheduled scan.

That wasn't clearly stated. What I meant is that I have WinVNC in some
flavor installed on several machines I administer, as well as Microsoft
Antispyware. I haven't had problems getting the always ignore to stick.

Last scan and last results are fine so no, doesn't look
like anything else is sticking.
Yup, running as administrator.
Thanks for the ideas though.

Then do the uninstall, blow away installation folder and subfolders, and
reinstall sequence.

I don't know what goes on in this situation--different settings and actions
are stored in different .gcd files, and perhaps theres a corruption issue of
some sort--If I were a better surgeon, I might be able to suggest which
specific .gcd file to rename or delete--but it is easier to just blow it all
away and start fresh, and that seems to work for nearly everyone.
