Can't add new appointment or meeting

When trying to add a new appointment or meeting the pulldown screen to enter the information will not appear. I can enter a new email, new task, new contact; everything but appointments and meetings. I can't even edit old appointments that were previously entered. I get the error message "microsoft can't save the data".
 
I have the same problem. Running Outlook 2003. Very annoying. I'm going to attempt a reinstall. Let you know if this works.

Any Office 2003 All-Stars come across this problem?
