Can't add a .wmv file to my presentation

I'm trying desperaqtely to add a .wmv file to my .ppt presentation. I click
on Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from file > (highlight the .mwv file) >
OK" and all I get is an hour glass! I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to bring up
the Task Manager to even get out of the application at that point. I've
tried over and over and get the same results. What am I missing? Help,
please ASAP! I'm trying to add this to a .ppt file for a presentation in the
morning!

I would just use PFCPro (fully functioning 10-day trial) to insert the file.
It will save your WMV into a WMV that PPT can handle and insert it into your
file, placing a copy into the folder with your presentation so the links are
correct. (I suspect you have an odd codec or something going on in it).

Well, it's morning (actually afternoon) have you placed the movie in the
same folder as the saved PPT file? If not that could be your issue. PPT
doesn't like networks to pull video from or even across the hard drive (from
other folders) of a computer.
